Experienced UX researcher and strategist, for freelance and short-term contracts.
I'm Leah. I've been working as a User Experience specialist for about 15 years. I spent most of my career to-date in Melbourne and moved back home to Perth in 2021.
After spending about 7 years in mostly agency roles (with one in-house stint), I decided to branch out on my own and lean into the flexibility that freelance and contract work provide.
A lot of my projects come my way when digital agencies need a senior UX resource to fill a project-based capacity or skills gap in their teams. I also work directly with clients, often in the early phases of conceptualising a new product so they can get a feel for how a product might come together.
I have experience providing UX services across a range of digital projects including websites, mobile apps and business applications. (I also have experience in broader CX and service design projects)
My most recent work (in the last 5 years) has focused on start-ups, edTech, healthcare, not-for-profit, and Government services and programs (federal, state, local). I also have previous experience across finance, energy, professional services and University projects.
Defining product/solution requirements through stakeholder engagement and current state analysis (review of existing product experience, analytics etc).
Design of UX research activities (mostly qualitative, but some quantitative), session facilitation, observation, analysis, synthesis and reporting.
Creation of insights-based strategy to inform solution design and next steps. (Includes persona development, user journey mapping, experience principles, project scoping, feature definition and road-mapping).
Defining the experience architecture through information architecture design, concept wireframing and prototyping.
Note: I'm not a UI designer
